This is where it all begins

well, ive got no idea to start this, how to introduce myself or anything related to formalities or how teh heck this is all supposed to work, so i think ill just start crashing head first into the story and worry bout formalities later.

This story is, in a nutshell, a fantasy/sci-fi more-than-likely-to-be-novel that, at the start at least, is based off the popular Magic vs. steam punk technology world. an insane amount of inspiration for the steam punk side of things is comming from a game called Rise Of Legends, wherein there's a faction known as the Vinci who are basically a merger with the industrial revolution and futuristic vehicles and designs such as walkers, clock work robots and giant (that's an understatement) artillery cannons (if your wondering about what im talking about, this should make things easier but note: none of the other factions except the machinery orientated one are being used as inspiration: link ). The magical faction is a lot harder to summarise and will be explained in detail further along in these posts.

so thats the basic factions out of the way, there's a lot more to it than just magic vs. technology but im not too keen on going into depth at this stage. I haven't named this story yet so ehh, ill get to that later as well. at the moment, im too tired to bother with much (2am here >.>) so yea, hopefully posting updates and whats it abouts on my story here will bear some fruit in helping me write the story better. though i do realise that some people may, if my story is good enough (hahaha, im trying not to kid myself that could be the case) steal my ideas which would tick me off a fair bit, but lets not think about that. instead, lets hope that things go well and i start writing more diligently.
